The St. Joseph High boys cross country team placed 13th at the FCIAC championships at Waveny Park in New Canaan on Oct. 17.
Sophomore James Mas earned second-team All-FCIAC honors, placing 21st overall in 16:52.
The Cadets had a tight pack of runners in the varsity race that included junior Evan Aldo (78th, 18:59), senior Jared Quigley (84th, 19:14), junior Kyle O’Brien (85th, 19:15), junior Will Gallagher (88th, 19:22), senior Aidan Quigley (93rd, 19:50) and senior Joe Capio (97th, 20:10).
In the junior varsity race, junior Jack Guman placed 110th overall in 20:32 and senior Jon Lemanski placed 118th overall in 20:45.
Additional finishers included: freshman Matt Conway (158th, 21:42), senior Anthony Salzillo (181st, 22:19), sophomore Nick Maltese (207th, 23:09), freshman Nick Russo (218th, 23:34) and freshman Dylan DeMoura (238th, 25:24).
St. Joseph will compete in the Class M state championship meet at Wickham Park in East Hartford at 11:25 a.m. on Saturday.
