Jada Harris from St. Joseph High, won the 55 meter hurdles at the New Haven Varsity Boys and Girls Indoor Track Invitational at the Floyd Little Athletic Center on Dec. 19.

Harris ran a time of 8.73, her previous best was 8.99. This meet was open to schools from four states. She defeated the defending class state champ from Hillhouse High from New Haven, Jaliyah White, who ran an 8.84.

Mariah Provenzano was 15th (28.70) and Harris 16th (28.71) in the 200 meter dash for coach Gary Schmidlin’s Cadets, who tied for 17th.

In the boys meet, Nick Zannis was 14th in the 800 meter run with a time of 2:10.53. James Mas was 21st (2:15.99).
