The Trumbull High boys golf team defeated St. Joseph and Westhill of Stamford on Monday.

Pat Heeks scored a 36 to take medalist honors for the Eagles (6-0). He was followed by Mitch French 40, Zac Parente 41 and Mike Liskov 43.

St. Joseph (2-5) was led by John DoCarmo 43, Nick Stauber 44, Lenny Lee 45 and Mike Derbyshire 48.

DoCarmo shot a round of 44 to lead St. Joseph in a match with New Canaan and Wilton at the par 36 course at Tashua Knolls on Wednesday. Stauber shot a 46, Lee a 51 and Derbyshire a 52.

Stauber and Lee both shots 48s when St. Joseph lost to Brien McMahon from Norwalk, 195-204, at Tashua Knolls on April 24. DoCarmo shot a 53 and Derbyshire a 55.

Trumbull girls golf

Trumbull lost to Ridgefield High, 180-205, at the par 35 course in Ridgefield.

Christina Lane shot a 49. Alex Brown and Madison Thompson shot 52s. Emily Ruchalski shot a 54.

Trumbull boys lacrosse

Trumbull defeated Suffield High, 17-3, on Thursday.

Sam Watson, Tom Schutz and Brendan Butler scored three goals each.

Jake Crowe, Jacob Howe and Steve Kelley each found the back of the net twice.

Jay Bartolucci and Mike DeVito had one goal apiece.

Howes had four assists, DeVito two, and Watson, Ryan Szulimowski, Crowe and Dom Bova had one each.

St. Joseph boys lacrosse

St. Joseph defeated Masuk High from Monroe, 16-4, on Friday.

Mike Sudora scored three goals, and Ryan Corcoran had two goals and two assists. for coach Joe Izzo’s Cadets. Joshua Wilson had two goals and three assists.

Jeff Marcantonio, Jorge Yoguez, Chris Flabonski, Nick Celentaro and Jared Newall scored one goal each. Preston Ouellette had two assists. Mike Braddick made eight stops.

St. Joseph girls lacrosse

Nicole Healey scored four goals and Mackenzie Spadinger had three goals when St. Joseph defeated Norwalk, 12-9, on Thursday.

Katherine Adams, Allie Lehn and Maddie Daly each had a goal. and Mikayla Konecny made 19 saves, as the Cadets improved to 3-2.

Trumbull softball

Trumbull defeated Brien McMahon from Norwalk, 14-0 in a five-inning mercy-rule decision on Monday.

Coach Cary Nadel’s Eagles had 18 hits in the win. Samantha Platz allowed only one hit and struck out seven batters.

Platz, Costello and Lauren Zielinski had three hits each. Harleigh Kaczegowicz, Megan Thaler, Emily Clark and Nicole Chiappetta had two hits apiece.

Platz drove in four runs. Zielinski, Thaler and Chiapetta had three RBIs.

Trumbull defeated Wilton, 15-4, on Thursday. Platz went the distance to gain the win.

Jayme Thompson and Christie Costello had matching games at the plate, with three hits, three RBIS and two runs scored. Kaczegowicz and Zielinski stroked two hits apiece and  Thaler smacked a two-run home run.

St. Joseph softball

Mikaela Mallozzi had three hits, including a triple, and drove in two runs when coach Jeff Babineau’s St. Joseph team defeated Danbury High, 12-3, on Monday.

St. Joseph is 9-0 overall and 7-0 in the FCIAC. Danbury is 4-5, 3-4.

Nicole Williams struck out 10 batters. Lauren Blose had two hits and two RBIs.

Lauren Pitney, Mallozzi and Blose each had two hits to lead St. Joseph to a 12-0 five-inning mercy-rule victory at Wilton High on April 23. Williams improved to 7-0 with a one-hitter.

St. Joseph baseball

St. Joseph won its fifth straight game, defeating Danbury, 4-2, on Monday.

Coach Jim Chaves’ Cadets are 5-3 overall and 5-2 in the FCIAC. Danbury is 6-3, 4-3.

Mark Hirschbeck and Matt Laveneziana each had two hits and an RBI. Sean Hurley and Mike Rotondo had RBI hits.

Jake Amoroso went the distance to improve to 2-1, allowing two runs in the fourth inning.

St. Joseph defeated Wilton High, 6-2, on April 23. Nick Williams got the win with a three-hitter, striking out seven. Williams had two RBIs. Matt McKernan and Ismael Herrera had 2 hits each.

Trumbull boys volleyball

Trumbull High lost to Ridgefield High, 3-0, on Monday.

Zack Yellen had 12 kills, five blocks and 11 digs for the Eagles (2-5).

Matt Angelo had three kills, two blocks and nine digs.  Lucas Ferreira had two kills, five digs and 16 assists.

Trumbull lost to Staples of Westport, 3-0, on April 23. John Brindisi had eight digs and three service points.

Max Martel had five digs. Carlos Sevilla had three service points, including an ace, and two digs.

St. Joseph volleyball

The St. Joseph boys volleyball team knocked off Greenwich High, 3-0, on Monday.

Kevin Stapleton had 21 kills and five aces in the 25-19, 26-24, 25-22 victory.

Connor Gallagher had 20 assists and four kills for the Cadets (4-2 overall, 3-2 FCIAC). Erik Lewicki had 10 assists, four kills and four aces.

St. Joseph dropped a 25-20, 25-17, 25-22 decision to Darien on April 23.

Stapleton had 18 kills and a pair of aces for the Cadets. Gallagher added 10 assists and two kills.

St. Joseph girls tennis

Samantha Rudini won a 6-3, 7-6, 6-2 decision at No. 1 singles for St. Joseph in its 5-2 loss to Westhill from Norwalk on April 24.

Alex Waizenegger took her No. 4 singles match, 6-2, 6-1.

Lauren Hensley at second singles and Nell Condron at third singles both dropped tight three-set matches.

St. Joseph lost to Brien McMahon of Norwalk, 5-2, in FCIAC girls tennis action on Monday. Condron won No. 3 singles, 6-3, 6-0 and Waizenegger took No. 4 singles, 6-3, 6-0.

St. Joseph boys tennis

St. Joseph defeated Trinity Catholic of Stamford, 6-1, on April 23. The Cadets swept singles with one forfeit to the Crusaders.

Earning victories were Matt Burke (6-2, 6-1), Parker Diamond (6-0, 6-4), Trent Navye (6-2, 6-1) and Michael Morin (6-3, 6-1).

Taking doubles play were Tom Santilli and Joe Prutting (6-0, 6-1) and Aex Trefz and Owen Francis (6-1, 6-0).

St. Joseph lost to Brien McMahon from Norwalk, in boys tennis on Monday. Morin won at No. 4 singles for the Cadets. Santilli and Prutting and Trefz and Francis swept doubles.

The St. Joseph met Ridgefield and Wilton for a tri-meet on April 23.

Shane Losonci was third in the long jump (18-03) and fourth in the 200 (25.70).

Seamus Keating was third in the 200 meter dash (25.10) and tied for sixth in the 100 meter dash (12.3).

Nick Zannis was third in the 3200 meter run (10:46.80). K’Tory Cobb was third in the 300 meter hurdles (50.40) and seventh in the long jump (16-02.50).

Shane Losonci was third in the long jump (18-03) and fourth in the 200 (25.70).

John Ready was third in the shot put (38-01.50) and sixth in the discus throw (87-10).

Kyle O’Brien was fourth in the triple jump (31-06) and eighth in the long jump (15-07).

Darren Jackson was fifth in the long jump (17-06) and Kyle Schilling was fifth in the triple jump (27-06.50).

Christopher Haack was sixth in the shot put (30-08.50) and eighth in the javelin throw (104-05).

Jared Quigley was sixth in the 1600 meter run (5:21.00) and Evan Aldo was sixth in the 3200 (6:29.00).

Will Gallagher was eighth in the 400 meter run (1:06.60) and Eric Maggi was eighth in the discus throw (81-00).

St. Joseph girls track

The St. Joseph placed second in its division and 14th out of 40 teams competing at the O’Grady Relays in Danbury.

Jada Harris finished first in the triple jump for coach Gary Schmedlin’s Cadets.

Carlie Logie, Katherine LaBash, Meg Kacenski and Harris won the 100 meter shuttle relay.

Mariah Provenzano, LaBash and Harris were third in the triple jump relay.

Kacenski, Harris and LaBash were fourth in the 300 hurdle relay.

Olivia Nolen, Julia Spinelli and Andrea Galeano took fifth in the shot relay.

Emma LaBash, Kaiyla Warren, Kacenski and Provenzano were fifth in the 200 meter relay.
