St. Joseph took the fifth set 15-12 to defeat Darien High, 3-2, in an FCIAC girls volleyball match on Friday.

Coach Jeff Babineau’s Cadets are 11-6 overall and 9-4 in the FCIAC. Darien is 7-8, 6-8 FCIAC.

The rivals split sets, with Darien winning 25-13 and 25-15 in games one and four.

St. Joseph took games two (25-15) and three (25-18).

The Cadets’ Christina Crocco had 11 kills and 4 blocks, Elena Ball 10 kills and 5 blocks, and Meg Robertson 28 assists and 5 aces.

Darien’s Caroline Martzolf had 15 kills and 11 service points, Kellie Arevato had 3 aces 12 kills and 8 service points, and Susie Alptekin had 13 digs and 10 service points.
