
The Trumbull High girls track team placed seventh, with two first-place finishes, at the O’Grady Relays in Danbury.
Kate Romanchick, Sydney Adams and Margaret LoSchiavo splashed their way to a first-place finish in the 2000-meter steeplechase.
Romanchick finished first for Trumbull in a time of 7:33:23, breaking the school record. Adams time of 8:06.19 was good for second 8:06:19 and LoSchiavo's time of 8:24:42 gave them a combined time of 24:03.
The girls out pointed Nonnewaug (24:07) and Newtown (25:16).
Trumbull also took first in the high jump relays.
The team consisted of Megan Switzgable, who finished first for the Eagles in 5:00.
Hailey Angelic (4:06) was second and Erica Woolen (4:06) was third.
Nicole Baker was fifth in discus at 98-10.
The 4x1600 relay team of Adams, Romanchick, LoSchiavo and Ashley Storino took fifth in a time of 22:23.
