The Christian Heritage School girls varsity soccer team started its season on a high note Wednesday with a 2-1 win over the King School in Stamford.

CHS played well and were able to control the game for long stretches.

Ranita Muriel started the scoring midway through the first half off an assist from goalkeeper Soph Luft. CHS went up 2-0 a few minutes later after Bella Christian was able to get a shot on net from just outside the 18 that beat the keeper. Luft was able to preserve the win with a number of nice saves.

CHS returns to the field on Saturday with a road match at Ethel Walker.
