The Christian Heritage School of Trumbull’s girls soccer team defeated HVAL opponent Wooster in a pivotal league match on Wednesday.

CHS is now 6-1-3 on the season and remain undefeated in the league at 2-0-2.

CHS will travel to the Gunnery School on Friday for a Class C matchup.

CHS was able to jump out to a 1-0 lead in the Wooster match on a rocket from Bella Christian from the right side just five minutes in. She was assisted by Ranita Muriel.

The girls would continue to pepper the Wooster keeper with shots but to no avail for the remainder of the first half.

Wooster was able to find a little daylight on a counter attack to tie the game 1-1 just before the half.

The second half brought on more frustration as CHS continued to create quality chances. It was with only eight minutes left that Muriel was able to net the game winner on an assist from Christian and give CHS a 2-1 league victory.
