The St. Joseph girls lacrosse team won its second straight Class S state tournament game when coach Leeland Gray’s 15th-seeded Cadets defeated second-seeded East Catholic by a score of 16-8 in Manchester on Tuesday.

St. Joseph (10-8) will play at No. 10 Housatonic (11-6) in the quarterfinals on Thursday at 3:30 p.m.

Robyn Pelletier and Amanda Lopez scored four goals each.

Kate Condron, Susie Vazzano and Lindsay Lucifora (assist) scored two goals each.

Abbey Ivanovich and Annie McNeil had solo goals.

Emily Buccigross made five saves.
