Girls hockey: Trumbull-St. Joseph wins

The Trumbull-St. Joseph girls hockey team earned its second victory of the season with a 6-5 victory over visiting Daniel Hand of Madison at The Rinks at Shelton on Friday.

Kaly Gonski scored four goals, including the tie-breaking tally with just 21 seconds remaining in the game, and added an assist. Molly Chapman and Bailey Brooks also scored. Morgan McClain had two assists, and Alexa Brown, Gonski and Chapman also assisted goals.

Trumbull carried a 4-2 lead into the third period before Hand netted three in a row to seize a late lead. Brooks tied the game with 4:12 left, and McClain set up Gonski with the game winner.
