Trumbull High scored 34 points in the first period and coach Steve Tobitsch’s Eagles went on to defeat Bridgeport Central, 67-21, in the season opener for both teams on Wednesday night.

Sarah Stolze scored 13 points with 10 rebounds and Krystina Schueler had 10 points and 10 boards.

Cassie Barbato and Emi Roberto each scored 11 points.

Central’s Jayda Edmonds scored 11 points.
