Cassi Barbato and Allie Palmieri each scored 21 points when Trumbull High posted a 65-60 victory over Wilbur Cross in New Haven on Saturday.

Coach Steve Tobitsch’s Eagles are now 8-0 on the season and have qualified for the state tournament.

Barbato made five 3-pointers and Palmieri was 5-for-6 from the foul line.

Krystina Schueler had 16 points and made all four free throws.

The Eagles were 13 for 15 from the stripe.

April Artis scored 21 points to lead Cross, who saw its five-game win streak snapped.
