The Stamford Black Knights grabbed its ninth consecutive win with a 73-40 victory over the St. Joseph Cadets Friday night.

Stamford used it’s fast-paced offense to help them move to 12-1 on the season.

Stamford shot 27-for-64 from the field and 14 for-19 from the free throw line.

St. Joseph did not have the same success, as it only shot 15-for-45 from the field and 6-for-12 from the free throw line.

Stamford took a 19-8 lead after one quarter and led 43-18 at halftime and never looked back.

Sophomore Andrea O’Connor led the offensive attack and was one of five Black Knights in double figures with 13.

Junior Ashley Lynch led all Cadet scorers with nine.

The Cadets, who fell to 7-6, look to snap a two-game losing streak when they head to Norwalk to take on Brien McMahon on Monday, Jan. 8, at 7 p.m.
