A low scoring affair went the St.Joseph Cadets way Friday night with a 30-27 FCIAC girls basketball victory against the Wilton Warriors.

It was close throughout as both teams struggled shooting all night as St. Joseph shot 11-35 (31%) and Wilton shot 11-63 (17%).

With senior forward Jackie Jozefick out of the lineup, junior guard Ashley Lynch scored a team high nine points on 4-of-8 shooting along with dishing out four assists and getting three steals.

Senior co-captain Shannon Healey erupted in the second half, scoring all seven of her points while adding 10 rebounds and swatting away three shots.

Senior Christina Holmgren scored a team high eight points and Karen Brosko added seven points and 10 rebounds for the Warriors, who dropped to 4-4 on the season.

The Cadets look to keep the momentum going when they hit the road to face Danbury, Tuesday, Jan. 19, at 7 p.m.
