FCIAC to meet SCC teams in openers
The SCC (Southern Connecticut Conference) and FCIAC (Fairfield County Interscholastic Athletic Conference) Football Challenge has 17 games scheduled for the first week of the 2013 season.
With the 2013 and 2014 seasons each having an extra week (an 11th game) on the schedule, the SCC and FCIAC will have 17 head-to-head contests in the first week in both years (competing teams will alternate home and away).
The leagues will utilize four days — Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday — to play the games to allow for maximum interest and attendance.
