Eagles fall in 10 innings to Falcons

The Trumbull High softball team lost a 6-5 10-inning decision to Fairfield Ludlowe at Sturges Field in Fairfield on Saturday.

Christie Costello and Kristine Liptack had four hits each to lead the Eagles, who slugged 16 hits in all.

Ludlowe won the game on Brenna Martini’s two-out double to improve to 5-1 overall and 4-1 in the FCIAC.

Trumbull is 4-2, 3-1 in the FCIAC.
