Eastern Connecticut State’s Brianna Passero from Trumbull was named Little East Conference Offensive Player-of-the-Week in field hockey.

Passero had three goals — two of them game-winners -— and an assist when the Warriors ended the regular season with a pair of road wins that extended their winning streak to a program record four.

After contributing a goal and assist in a midweek non-conference road victory over Johnson & Wales University, Passero scored the only goal of the second half, her second goal of the match, when Eastern defeated Little East Conference co-champion Plymouth State University for the first time in the 20-game series, 3-2.

After scoring two goals in the first 30 matches of her career, Passero has totaled seven in her last 13 matches this year that is good enough for second on this year's team.

Five Eastern Connecticut State University individuals representing four intercollegiate programs have been recognized with weekly honors by the Little East Conference for the week ending Nov. 1. The total gives Eastern 25 weekly honorees thus far this year.
