The St. Joseph boys cross country team honored its eight seniors prior to its home meet versus Staples, Trumbull, and Westhill.
The Cadets honored senior Nicholas Russo, Jon Wypychoski, Joe Griffin, Jack Moulder, Jorge Eckardt, Dylan DeMoura, Michael DeVore and Will Whitlock.
Moulder was the first St. Joseph finisher, placing 29th in 18:16.
Juniors Brian Dineen (19:23) and Anthony Crocco (19:37) placed 50th and 55th.
Sophomores Sean Yankocy (19:47) and Michael Zannis (19:48) placed 58th and 59th to break the 20-minute mark.
"It's always nice to recognize the seniors for their dedication to the program," said St. Joseph coach David Scrivines. "We have a good group of senior student-athletes this year who ran their final home meet of their respective careers."
Sophomore Garrett Kalker placed 66th in 20:29, while DeVore placed 78th in 21:34.
Sophomore Dante Criscio placed 79th in 21:45, while freshman Paul Fabbri placed 80th in 22:01.
Sophomore Manuel Garzon placed 83rd in 22:28 and freshman Jason Paul placed 84th in 23:10.
Additional finishers for St. Joseph included: sophomore Luke Healy (90th, 23:52), Griffin (93rd, 24:13), freshman Shane Fitzgerald (94th, 24:18), freshman Ethan Novicio (95th, 25:46), freshman Tim Gavrish (96th, 26:08), sophomore Igor Poliwoda (97th, 26:23), DeMoura (98th, 28:08) and freshman Jarell Estemil (99th, 30:22).
