Simon Whiteman from Trumbull and the Yale University baseball team continue to put up impressive numbers.

Whiteman batted .625  (10 for 16) in four games this past week, as coach John Stuper’s Bulldogs improved their Ivy League best record to 7-2.

A junior shortstop, Whiteman went 8-for-12 in a three-game sweep of Cornell,

He is hitting .441 in Ivy League play and .327 on the season.

Whiteman leads the team in RBIs (19) and hits (34), and is second in batting average and runs scored.

This weekend Yale plays a three-game series at home versus rival Harvard.
