St. Joseph will face Bridgeport Central in the FCIAC boys basketball semifinals at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday night at Fairfield Warde High.

Coach Chris Watts’ top-seeded Cadets (20-1) jumped in front of eighth-seeded Greenwich High (11-10) and cruised to a 71-52 victory in Fairfield on Saturday.

Bridgeport Central (17-4) defeated fifth-seeded Ridgefield High (15-6) in its quarterfinal contest, 72-56.

Sixth-seeded Wilton High upset third-seeded Westhill of Stamford in its quarterfinal, and second-seeded Trinity Catholic handled seventh-seeded Norwalk High, 71-52.

Trinity Catholic (20-1) will meet Wilton High (14-7) at 6 p.m.

Quincy McKnight (24 points) and Jake Pelletier (16 points) were the top performers for St. Joseph versus Greenwich, as the Cadets took a 21-8 lead after one, period were ahead 35-24 at the half, and 54-37 after three quarters.

Jonny Dzurenda scored 12 points, Raekwon Reid made a trio of 3-pointers and Erik Langston finished with eight.
