The St. Joseph High boys lacrosse team defeated Brien McMahon of Norwalk, 14-11 on Tuesday, to improve to 9-7 overall and 5-6 in the FCIAC, and gain a berth in the upcoming FCIAC playoffs.

Coach Joe Izzo’s Cadets were led by Ryan Corcoran, who scored six goals and had two assists.

Colin Powell and Pete Basher scored two goals each.

Jeff Marcantonio had a goal and two assists.

Rick Girdano, Christian Keator and Travis Yoguez had one goal each.

Kurtis Mudre, Filippo Petrini, Chris Colon and Zak Psaras had assists.

Mike Braddock had eight saves.
