The St. Joseph High girls basketball team won its third straight game to open the season when coach Chris Lindwall’s Cadets went on the road and defeated Fairfield Ludlowe, 48-35, on Wednesday.

St. Joseph took a 26-25 lead into the half and then outscored the Falcons, 10-2, in the third quarter to hand Ludlowe its first loss in three games.

Bridget Sharnick scored 22 points on eight buckets and three free throws.

Shannon O’Meara had 12 points on four 3-pointers and Caitlin Sharnick scored 10 points, two baskets coming from long range.

Caitlin Sharnick had 12 rebounds and Bridget Sharnick had 10 rebounds.

Ludlowe was led by Julia Pangallo (12 points) and Alex McKinnon (10 points).
