CHS cross country teams excel in league meets
The Christian Heritage School of Trumbull’s boys and girls cross country teams recently competed in their conference meets. On Oct. 31, Chase Collegiate hosted the Connecticut Independent School Athletic Conference (CISAC) Championships. The CHS boys and girls teams both had solid showings, placing third, with the boys missing first place by 11 points and the girls missing second by three points.
On Nov. 4, the CHS boys placed second in the Housatonic Valley Athletic League (HVAL) Championship, and the girls took home their first HVAL Championship trophy in school history. In both meets CHS had three medalists: for the boys Mitchell Modarelli, Matt Bruening and Connor Hartman; and for the girls Lydia Kellogg, Abby Slater and Laura Bruening.
