The Christian Hertitage School of Trumbull’s boys basketball team lost its season opener to reigning HVAL champion The Forman School, 71-32.

For the first five minutes, the game stayed close in an up and down transition battle but before the half the Lions of Forman had pulled away to a comfortable 44-15 lead.

Despite a better defensive effort in the second half, it wasn’t quite enough to get the Kingsmen back in the game.

CHS sophomore Richard Guinta made four 3-pointers off the bench to lead the team in scoring with 12 points.

The Kingsmen are back in action again on Friday and Saturday in the DC Invitational’s 50th Anniversary Tournament at Delaware County Christian School in Malvern, PA.
