The Christian Heritage School of Trumbull’s girls varsity soccer team continued its winning ways on Wednesday when it traveled to face the 3-1 Wooster School from Danbury and posted a 6-1 victory.

CHS opened up the scoring early in the first half when Michaela Korman scored her first goal of the season off a nice feed from Lizzy Barna.

The locals made it a 2-0 game just before the half when Rachel Cook scored from the left corner of the 18 on a low line drive at the near post.

Shortly after the half, CHS continued to put the pressure on as Bella Christian added to the lead just four minutes into the second half off a rocket from just inside the 18.

Lizzy Barna added her first goal of the game at the 14-minute mark of the second half.

Wooster was able to cut the lead to 4-1 on a penalty kick with about 20 minutes left.

Barna added two more goals with just over 10 minutes left to complete her hat trick.

The win moves CHS to 6-2-1 and it is unbeaten in its last seven games.
