Brian Hnatuk allowed only a second-inning run in going the distance on the mound when coach Phil Pacelli’s Trumbull High baseball team went on the road and earned a 2-1 victory over Danbury High on Tuesday.

Carlos Garrido had two hits and an RBI and Hnatuk drove in the other run for the Eagles, who posted scores in the fourth and fifth innings.

Ryan Solimine struck out nine batters for Danbury (4-6, 3-5 FCIAC).

Trumbull is now 5-4 overall and 4-3 in the FCIAC.
