
The Trumbull High boys soccer team defeated visiting Wilton High, 5-0 at McDougall Stadium on Thursday.
Coach Sebe Gangemi’s Eagles are now 8-0-4. Wilton’s record is 4-1-7.
Matthew Restrepo scored the first of his two goals with the assist going to Chris Lancia in the 15th minute.
Seven minutes later, Lancia made it 2-0 off a helper from Jason Weinstein.
The ability to pay it forward continued, as Weinstein tallied in the 30th minute to give the Eagles a 3-0 lead. Lancia had the assist.
Restrepo opened the scoring in the second half as well, with a netfinder six minutes into the session.
Christopher Conaway, from Daniel Folchick, accounted for the final tally in the 56th minute.
Trumbull’s Jonathan Campbell and Andrew Menjivar each made one save.
