Boys soccer: Trumbull takes control late in 4-1 win
The Trumbull High boys soccer team surged in the final twenty minutes en route to winning a 4-1 decision from Westhill High on Wednesday.
Chris Lancia snapped a 1-1 tie with a goal in the 61st minute off an assist from Matthew Restrepo for coach Sebe Gangemi’s Eagles (7-0-3).
Jason Weinstein added a goal with three minutes remaining. Connor Jorge had the assist.
Chris Conaway completed the scoring with an unassisted goal in the 79th minute.
Jorge opened the scoring 15 seconds into the contest.
Edwin Aguilar scored unassisted in the 50th minute for Westhill (4-6).
Trumbull’s Jonathan Campbell made 10 saves.
Jeffrey Garcia had six saves for the Vikings.
