Trumbull High scored a 3-1 victory over visiting Stamford High in FCIAC boys soccer quarterfinal action on Friday.
With the victory, coach Sebe Gangemi’s second-seeded Eagles (13-0-4) will meet No. 3 Danbury (11-2-4) in the league semifinal at 5 p.m. next Tuesday at Fairfield Ludlowe’s Taft Field.
Top-seeded Greenwich (14-0-3) will meet No. 5 Fairfield Warde (11-4-2) in the nightcap.
Jason Weinstein had two goals and Matthew Restrepo one, as Trumbull took a 3-1 halftime on the Black Knights (8-6-3).
Connor Jorge, Chris Lancia and Restrepo had assists.
Anthony Oliveros scored Stamford’s goal.
Jonathan Campbell had four saves for Trumbull.
