Adam Usinger scored three goals in the first period to propel coach J.R. Bria’s St. Joseph boys ice hockey team to a 6-1 victory over Wilton High at the Winter Garden Ice Arena in Ridgefield on Saturday, Jan. 16.

St. Joseph is 5-3-0. Wilton 0-9-1.

Usinger scored early in the second to take the score to 4-0, before Wilton’s Preston Turk put the Warriors on the board with the assist going to Jake Tucker at 11:29 of the frame.

Andrew Van Etten and Christian Scinto scored for the Cadets in the third period.

Will Foldesi had three assists; Will Gilbert, Connor Hurley and Nick DiSabella one each.

St. Joseph outshot Wilton, 36-12, with the Warriors’ Alex Sywak making 30 saves.

Ryan Wilson (six saves) and Will Brady (five saves) were in net for the Cadets.
