New Canaan defeated St. Joseph, 4-1, in FCIAC boys hockey on Saturday.

New Canaan took the lead when Ryan Hart scored unassisted in the first period. The Rams’ Teddy Hood made it 2-0 after two periods.

It was 3-0 on Tyler Hill’s goal in the third, with James Franzis getting the assist on the tally at 6:15.

Nick DiSabella, assisted by Will Foldesi, scored for the Cadets at 10:33 of the third period.

Brooks Gammill from Gunnar Granito completed the scoring at 10:55.

Ryan Wilson had 26 saves for St. Joseph (5-7-0).

Peter Windas made 17 stops for New Canaan (6-9-0).
