Trumbull High overcame a halftime deficit to win an 84-70 road decision over Stamford High on Wednesday.
Timmond Williams scored 39 points and had 11 rebounds to lead coach Buddy Bray’s Eagles (2-0, 1-0 FCIAC).
Chris Brown scored 24 points for Trumbull, which took a 19-17 lead after one quarter.
Stamford used a 22-19 bulge in the second period to take a 39-38 lead into the locker room.
Trumbull made 16-of-20 free throws to help offset eight 3-pointers by the Black Knights.
The Eagles’ Mileeq Green had six points, 12 rebounds and seven assists.
Evan Gutowski scored eight points with 10 rebounds.
Josh Thervil made five 3-pointers for Stamford and finished with 20 points.
