Christian Heritage School of Trumbull’s boys basketball team defeated Fisher Island School (N.Y.) in its first game of the season on Friday.

The Kingsmen got off to a quick start thanks to their full court press and hot shooting from Clay Westermann, who scored 21 points (5 of 9 on three-pointers). Tim Vanderhave chipped in with 16 points and 12 rebounds.

With a comfortable 34-8 lead at halftime, CHS controlled the second half only committing six turnovers in the final two periods.

Fisher was led in scoring by Andrew Eastman with six points.

Next up, the Kingsmen hit the road on Wednesday to face HVAL opponent Forman School.
