
The Trumbull High baseball team defeated Darien High, 5-2, in an FCIAC baseball game on Tuesday.
Both teams will host FCIAC quarterfinal games on Friday at 4 p.m.
The Eagles improved to 13-6 overall and 11-5 in the FCIAC.
Darien is now 17-3 and 13-3 in the FCIAC.
Vinny DeRubeis had two hits for Trumbull, which scored a run in the first and second innings.
The Eagles added another run in the fifth and two in the sixth.
Dustin Siqueiria had a double.
Darien put together a two-run rally in the seventh.
Cord Fox had a pair of doubles for the Blue Wave, who out hit the Eagles 6-3.
Andrew Lojko (4-1) got the win for Trumbull.
Jack Geddes (3-1) took the loss.
