The Trumbull High baseball team lost to Ridgefield High,11-7, on Monday.

Pitching had carried coach Phil Pacelli’s Eagles forward this past week, but it was a hitting display that took place in the Tigers’ home win.

Trumbull had 11 hits and scored four runs in the fifth inning and three in the sixth.

Ridgefield, taking advantage of six Trumbull errors, built up a 7-0 lead with two runs in the first, one in the second and four in the third. The Tigers, who had 10 hits, added two runs in each of the fifth and sixth frames.

Trumbull is 12-6 overall and 10-5 in the FCIAC.

Ridgefield is 13-6 overall and 9-6 in the FCIAC.

Trumbull’s Kris DiCocco, Jack Lynch and Justin Waldek had two hits apiece.
