Trumbull High’s Chris Briganti has signed a letter of intent to play baseball at Plymouth State University.

“Chris Briganti is the ultimate team player,” Trumbull head baseball coach Phil Pacelli said.

“He genuinely cares about his teammates and absolutely hates to lose. He brings an intense approach to practices and games on a daily basis. He balances the mood when necessary with his great sense of humor.

“On the field, Chris’ bat has delivered some key hits. He plays solid defense in the outfield and he possesses a very strong arm.

"Chris has worked hard on his strength and conditioning, and I look forward to seeing him bring his game to the next level in the spring.

“Plymouth State will be a great fit for Chris.”

The Panthers finished the 2018 campaign for coach Clay Jenkins with a 16-19 overall record, 5-9 in the Little East Conference.
