Baseball: CHS wins 2-1 in extra innings

The Christian Heritage School baseball team went on the road and defeated Wooster School, 2-1, on Saturday.

Wooster scored an unearned run in the home first, before CHS tied the game in the fifth and won it in the ninth after Richard Bohn was hit by a pitch, stole second and scored on Stephen Britton’s RBI single to right.

Connor Hartman closed out the bottom of the ninth with a 1-2-3 inning. He came on in the eighth and pitched perfect ball with three strikeouts.

Britton went the first seven frames. He pitched a two-hitter, struck out seven batters and didn’t give up an earned run.

The Kingsmen got on the board in the fifth when Bohn beat out an infield single, stole second and scored on an infield error.
