Baseball: Bunnell rallies back to upend Trumbull

The Bunnell High baseball team went on the road and posted an 11-5 over Trumbull High on Wednesday.

Coach Sean Mignone’s Bulldogs finish the season at 5-15. Trumbull is 13-7 and seeded third in the FCIAC playoffs.

Mike Castelot pitched into the fourth, giving up one run.

Tyler John came on in relief to get the victory.

Nick Giannoni had three hits and two runs scored for Bunnell, which scored five runs in the fourth, three in the fifth and three in the seventh.

Adam Wojenski, Angelo Giamitelli, Tyler Vancho and Tyler Cartagena had two hits each.

Trumbull scored one run in the second and four in the fifth.

Robert Olah had two doubles.

Danny Ruchalski and Angelo Tuccinardi each had two hits.
