Trumbull wrestlers rally falls short to Norwalk

Trumbull dropped the first six matches, rallied, then lost to Norwalk 42-39 in an FCIAC wrestling match.

Andrew Garbinski began the comeback for coach Charlie Anderson’s Eagles when the senior co-captain won a 5-3 decision at 138 pounds.

Sam Lapham pinned in 56 seconds of his 145-pound bout.

Senior co-captain Hayden Provencal carried the torch with a 58-second fall at 152.

Warren Little pinned in 2:36 at 160 and Trumbull had closed within 30-21.

Norwalk took the next two matches by fall.

Aethan Minden put the Eagles back on the scoreboard when the 195-pounder pinned in 37 seconds.

Lukas Cylwik won by first-period fall (1:09) at 220.

Mike Gianetti was awarded a forfeit at heavyweight to close out the scoring.
