Trumbull in must-win game tonight
UPDATE: Trumbull will try to improve to 3-0 in the Babe Ruth New England Regional at Trumbull High School tonight.
Trumbull must beat Nashua to advance out of pool play. A loss puts the hosts in a 3-way tie at 2-1 with New Milford and Nashua, and they come up short on the run differential tiebreaker.
The locals' game with Nashua, N.H., is still scheduled to start at 7:30 p.m. The game can be heard on hanradio.com.
State champion New Milford, which fell to Trumbull 6-0 Saturday, finished pool play 2-1 with an 8-1 victory over Plymouth, Mass.
The top two teams in each of two plays face off in a semifinal twinbill Monday at 4:30 and 7:30 p.m. Both games can be seen on the HAN Network and will stream live on hanradio.com.
The championship game at 6:30 p.m. Tueseday will also be streaming video on the HAN Network, with streaming audio at hanradio.com.
UPDATE: The start of the 4:30 game between New Milford and Plymouth, Mass., has been moved to 4:25 as organizers race possible storms.

Play in pool A ended this morning with Pittsfield, Mass., blanking Brattleboro, Vt., 11-0.
Pittsfield wins Pool A with a 3-0 record and will face the second-place team in Pool B at 7:30 p.m. Monday
Augusta, Maine, which edged Cranston, R.I., to open play Sunday, will face the winner of Pool B Monday at 4:30 p.m.

UPDATE: In an effort to get all four of Sunday's games played on schedule, the start of the 1:30 p.m. game between Pittsfield, Mass., and Brattleboro, Vt., has been moved to 1 p.m.
Pittsfield enters the game 2-0, Brattleboro 0-2.
In Sunday's opener, Augusta, Maine, finished pool play with a 2-1 record after a 2-1 victory over Cranston, R.I. (1-2). The potential tying run for Cranston was tagged for the second out of the bottom of the ninth when the runner took his foot off the base at the of a slide. The game ended when Dylan Presby made a leaping snare of a line drive at shortstop.
New Milford (1-1) is scheduled to face Plymouth, Mass (0-2) at 4:30, followed by host Trumbull (2-0) vs. 1-1 Nashua, N.H., at 7:30 p.m.

ORIGINAL POST: The final day of pool play in the Babe Ruth New England Regional at Trumbull High School is scheduled to start at 10:30 a.m. Sunday. Despite the weather, organizers plan to keep games on time as of 9:45 a.m.

After Sunday’s games, the top two teams in each division will cross over for the semifinals Monday. The top team in Pool A will play the second place team in Pool B, and the winner of Pool B will face the second place team in Pool A.
Monday’s games are scheduled to start at 4:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Both can be watched on the HAN Network by clicking watch live at hanradio.com. They can also be listened to at hanradio.com.
Two teams are unbeaten entering the final day of pool play. Host Trumbull is 2-0 after a 6-0 shutout of state champion New Milford behind Andrew Lojko’s four-hit shutout, dropping New Milford to 1-1.
Sunday’s games start at 10:30 a.m. in Pool A as 1-1 Augusta, Maine, takes on 1-1 Cranston, R.I. Augusta is 1-1 after blowing a 6-1 lead and outlasting Brattleboro, Vt., 7-6 in 14 innings Saturday. Cranston 1-1 .
Game 2 at 1:30 p.m., also in Pool A, pits 2-2 pool leader Pittsfield, Mass., against 0-2 Brattleboro.
Pool B play begins with the 4:30 p.m. game between 1-1 New Milford and 0-2 Plymouth, Mass.
