Trumbull girls defeat Norwalk in FCIAC volleyball

The Trumbull girls’ volleyball team defeated Norwalk 3-0 (25-7, 25-12, 25-10) to finish the regular season at 14-5 (11-4 in the FCIAC).

The Eagles were led by their seniors Jamie McPartland, Jamie Willix, Emma Gentry and Brianna Gomez.

McPartland had 11 kills and two blocks.

Willix had seven digs and seven aces.

Gentry had 10 kills and five digs.

Gomez had four digs and two aces.

Coach Nicole Trommelen’s team will play in the FCIAC tournament Tuesday night.

Seeded No. 4, the Eagles will host No. 5 Wilton at 5:30.
