Cassi Barbato and Emi Roberto each made a trio of 3-pointers when Trumbull earned a 49-39 road win over St. Joseph in a Play for a Cure girls’ basketball game to help the American Cancer Society on Saturday.
Barbato finished with 13 points and Emma Gentry had 12 to help coach Steve Tobitsch’s Eagles improve to 3-1.
Roberto scored 9, Sarah Stolze 8 and Julia Lindwall 5.
Coach Chris Lindwall’s Cadets lost their first game in four outings.
Kirsten Rodriguez scored 8 points to lead St. Joseph in scoring.
Kate Rudini, Erika Stephens and Izzy Casucci each scored 6 points.
