Three-point shooting difference in St. Joe's boys basketball win over Norwalk

The St. Joseph boys’ basketball team made 12 three-pointers and used a third quarter run to post an 82-72 victory against visiting Norwalk in the season opener for both teams.

Coach Kevin Wielk’s Cadets trained Norwalk 35-34 at the half but outscored the Bears 27-19 in the third period.

Jason James scored 19 points, Eli Newby scored 16 points and Tommy Shannon had 14.

Mekhi Cherry scored 25 points for Norwalk, which had two 3-pointers.
