Derrick Long made a trio of 3-pointers to back Jason James’ 17 points to lead the St. Joseph boys’ basketball team when it defeated Darien 63-54 in Trumbull on Tuesday.
Long finished with 15 points and Tommy Shannon had 12 as coach Kevin Wielk’s Cadets remained perfect on the season at 5-0.
Miles Drake (18 points) and Simeon Doll (17 points) each buried three 3-pointers for Darien (1-1).
