St. Joseph girls topple Warde in FCIAC basketball

Kirsten Rodriguez and Izzy Casucci powered St. Joseph to a 50-45 victory over Fairfield Warde in an FCIAC girls’ basketball matchup in Fairfield on Tuesday.

Rodrigues scored 16 points with eight rebounds and two blocked shots for the Cadets, now 4-1 overall and 2-0 in league play.

Casucci had seven baskets to finish with 14 points, eight rebounds and five blocks.

Kate Rudini ran the attack with six assists and had three steals.

Dennaye Hinds took down 11 boards and blocked two shots to go with eight points.
