St. Joseph girls basketball topples Greenwich to advance

The St. Joseph girls’ basketball team defeated Greenwich 53-31 on Wednesday to advance to the FCIAC quarterfinal round.

Seeded fifth, St. Joseph (10-3) will play at No. 4 seed Ludlowe (11-2) on Saturday at 4 p.m. Ludlowe defeated No. 13 seed Wilton 53-17 in the round of 16.

Kirsten Rodriguez had 10 points and 10 rebounds for St. Joseph.

Kate Rudini had five assists and four steals.

Dennaye Hinds had 15 rebounds and six steals.

Izzy Casucci had eight rebounds and three blocks.

Bea Owens scored 12 points for No. 12 seed Ludlowe (4-9).
