St. Joseph digs deep to top Bassick in boys basketball

St. Joseph battled past Bassick 74-67 in an FCIAC boys’ basketball game in Trumbull on Tuesday.

Jason James scored 26 points to lead the winning Cadets (8-0).

Tommy Shannon had 20 points and Derek Long 14 for coach Kevin Wielk.

Bassick’s Isaiah Sullivan scored 31 points for the 0-3 Lions.
