St. Joseph defends well, defeats Westhill in girls basketball

St. Joseph’s defense allowed only eight points through three quarters on its way to a 57-21 girls basketball win in Trumbull on Wednesday.

Coach Chris Lindwall’s Cadets improved to 5-1. Westhill is 1-4.

Emily Haverl scored 9 points to lead St. Joseph in scoring.

Erika Stephens had 7 points, 8 rebounds and 5 steals.

Erin Parchinski had 6 points, 8 rebounds and 3 steals.

Izzy Casucci scored 7 points.

KK Geignetter, Kayleigh Carson and Grace Cottle scored 6 points each.

Olivia Conte scored 6 points for Westhill.
