St. Joseph’s Kate Rudini and Izzy Casucci scored 12 points each to lead coach Chris Lindwall’s Cadets past Norwalk 53-48 in the FCIAC girls’ basketball opener for both teams.

Emily Haverl made a pair of 3-pointers and scored 8 points.

Rudini had 5 assists and 3 steals.

Casucci had 7 rebounds and 5 blocks.

Dennaye Hinds had 7 rebounds and 3 blocks.
