Rich Schwam bowls 299 in Tuesday League

Rich Schwam posted a near-perfect game until the twelfth try, leaving the 10-pin for the single-game scratch of 299, when the Tashua Knolls Senior Men’s Club Friday Bowling League met. Schwam had the series scratch of 648, set a new season-high for the single game with handicap of 322, and the series with handicap of 717.

Team 5 (Randy Burnham, Bob Sadowski, Alan Careddu, Dennis Surmaczewicz) is in first place with a six-point lead over Team 12 (Mark Paskus, Pepe Cruz, Ray Boratko, Mike Bartolotta).

Dan Maniscalco has the high individual average of 208.31, Dennis Surmaczewicz is in second with 202.45 and John Verdeschi is in third place at 196.47.

In Tuesday League action, Team 4 (Gary Robenseifer, John Campbell, Bob Burke, Ray Boratko) moved into first place with a slim two-point lead over Team 6 (Ron Rubano, Bob Wolfe, Tom Frazer, Gerry Cordone) and a three-point lead over Team 9 (Paul Schuerlein, Ivo Pozezanac, Mark Ryan, John Verdeschi) and Team 10 (Rick Frank, Bob Vagnini, Jim Menge, Dan Maniscalco).

The week’s individual results have Bob Flemming with the high scratch single game of 246, and the single game with handicap of 286. Terry McGuirk bowled the three-game series with handicap of 773. John Verdeschi bowled the three-game series of 626. The high individual matchpoints saw Joe Flewellyn take over first place with 107 points.

John Verdeschi is the high average leader at 199.55, followed by Dan Maniscalco at 198.65 and Noel Gabrielle at 195.62.
