The St. Joseph High girls basketball team opened the second half of its season with a 44-26 victory over Harding of Bridgeport in Trumbull on Friday.

The Cadets (3-8) used a 14-6 run in the first quarter to take charge and led 20-13 at the half and 27-13 after three quarters.

Mairead Donahue scored 14 points and had seven rebounds.

Ana DoCarmo scored seven points, Katie Gardella six, Julie Farmer five and Erin Johnson and Lauren Pitney four apiece.
